A nice example of how getting in touch with Merton Council worked for Caxton Road residents. Thanks for sharing this good news story (we’d love to hear more! Get in touch)…

Old post office, Caxton Road
Old post office, Caxton Road

Remember the old Post Office at the top of Caxton Road? It was converted into flats recently, but builders left the the development unfinished with exposed breeze blocks which looked very untidy.

One call to a very helpful and pro-active council employee (Sam Amoako-Adofo) got the issue solved, as follows:

Report: Sam Amoako-Adofo, Enforcement Team Leader Development Control

Street/Location: CAXTON ROAD, South Wimbledon, London
Your Comments: The conversion of the old post office on the corner of Caxton Road/Haydons Road does not meet the required planning agreement.  The building was supposed to be finished using the same style materials but currently has exposed breeze block not red brick and is unsightly.

Following this communication the building was painted and now looks much better.
