What is the Haydons Road North Community Site?
Haydon’s Road North was feeling a bit unloved, so a group of locals (Ann, Sally, Caroline, Nicola, Patrick, Nick, Matt and more: our numbers are growing all the time!) from some of the surrounding streets decided to start a website both to celebrate what’s great about living here and as a forum to highlight issues for this area.
It’s sometimes difficult to know what to do or where to go to if you have a local concern (have you tried to navigate the council’s planning application page?!). This website aims to help and guide people who live in the area, with a view to keeping residents and businesses informed of things that impact on us now and in the future.
We are not campaigners or moaners. We are not political. We are not keen on committees and don’t want to tell others what they should think or do. We have one common aim: to share information about our micro-area, enabling local folks to know who to contact if they need to, and to employ a common voice as necessary on neighbourhood issues that matter to us.
In brief, we aim to be a ‘one stop shop’ to help keep us all informed about issues of interest in our little community.
If you live and/or work in the north Haydons Road area of Wimbledon, in streets including Gap Road, Plough Lane. Haydon Park Road, Cromwell Road, Kingsley Road, Kohat Road, Havelock Road, Regent Place, Caxton Road, the top of Queens Road or Haydons Road itself, this site is for you.
Visit the Contact page to get in touch and/or get involved, plus follow our Twitter feed @HaydonsNorth. We’d love to hear from you!
